Hi,

It depends on who is the owner of the land. Upon the expiration of the lease, the land will be returned to the rightful owner of the land.

In most cases, the land belongs to the State. There are however some developments sitting on Freehold land, but sold as leasehold. These land will be returned to the rightful owner upon lease expiry.
